The Hindu Empowerment Council is set to host the 18th annual Hindu Mandir Empowerment Council (HMEC) Conference from September 12 to 14 in Irving, Texas. Recognized as the largest annual gathering of Hindu leaders in the Western Hemisphere, the conference will bring together executives, community leaders, and scholars representing Mandirs, Gurudwaras, Ashrams, Derasars, and diverse Hindu organizations.

The event aims to serve as a platform for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and the building of strategic partnerships that will empower and strengthen Hindu institutions. This year’s theme, “Hindu Diaspora – Mahakumbh of Sanatan Traditions,” draws inspiration from the sacred Kumbh Mela, symbolizing unity, devotion, and the collective strength of the global Hindu community.

Alongside HMEC, the 12th Hindu Mandir Priests' Conference (HMPC) will also be held. HMPC pays tribute to the tireless service of Hindu priests and dedicated volunteers who play a vital role in preserving and promoting Dharma, culture, and spiritual practices across the diaspora. The conference will highlight their contributions, while also providing space for dialogue on contemporary challenges and innovative solutions for community growth.

The gathering is expected to feature engaging sessions, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities designed to support the sustainability of Hindu traditions and institutions in North America and beyond. Leaders will deliberate on pressing issues, share success stories, and explore ways to engage younger generations in the spiritual and cultural life of the community.

For the global Hindu diaspora, the HMEC and HMPC conferences represent a milestone event that honors heritage while charting the future. Coverage of this landmark gathering will be featured by New India Abroad, keeping readers informed about the voices and vision shaping Hindu institutions worldwide.
