Intel is undergoing a major leadership shift , with three top executives—Kaizad Mistry, Ryan Russell, and Gary Patton—set to retire, according to a Reuters report on July 31. This move is part of new CEO Lip-Bu Tan’s strategy to revitalize the chipmaker. Intel is also restructuring its technology development group, reducing capacity planning and engineering teams. Naga Chandrasekaran, now overseeing both technology and manufacturing, is leading the internal reorganization. CEO Tan aims to cut the workforce by 22%, targeting 75,000 employees by year-end. He also tied future investments in Intel’s 14A process to confirmed customer commitments. These changes reflect Intel’s more focused and cost-conscious approach.
