PenFed EVP Shree Reddy Wins ORBIE Award

 

Shree Reddy, Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Virginia-based PenFed Credit Union, has been honored with the prestigious 2025 CapitalCIO ORBIE Award in the Enterprise category. This recognition celebrates Reddy's outstanding leadership, strategic innovation, and business impact at one of America’s largest credit unions.

The ORBIE Awards, hosted by CapitalCIO—a chapter of the Inspire Leadership Network—are regarded as one of the highest honors for technology executives. These awards recognize CIOs who have demonstrated excellence in technology leadership and have driven transformation across their organizations. Since its inception in 1998, the program has highlighted the work of visionary leaders who use innovation and strategic thinking to solve complex challenges and generate lasting value.



Doug King, Chair of CapitalCIO, praised the winners, stating, "Great CIOs understand how connections drive transformation. The ORBIE Awards recognize those who leverage relationships to drive innovation and shape the future of the Capital Area."

Reddy's professional journey reflects his commitment to that very vision. After completing his education at Nagpur University and the University of Michigan, he held a significant role at Bank of America before joining PenFed Credit Union. His transition to PenFed marked a turning point in the credit union’s digital transformation strategy.

  In a major shift in its visa policy, the United States has mandated that all applicants under the F, M, or J nonimmigrant visa categories must make their personal social media profiles public.
