India Meets LA: All India Cafe Reimagined
Since 1996, All India Cafe has been
serving up the rich, aromatic flavors of Indian cuisine in Los Angeles. Founded
by chef Santokh Singh Khinda, the restaurant quickly became a local favorite
for its authentic dishes and commitment to fresh, high-quality ingredients.
Nearly three decades later, All India Cafe is entering a bold new chapter—led
by siblings Pawandeep (Pawan) and Simran Khinda, who are bringing a modern
touch while preserving the essence of their family legacy.
Now operating outposts in Pasadena, Arcadia, and Glendale, the All India
Cafe brand is evolving. The next generation is focused on creating new
experiences without losing the warmth and familiarity that long-time guests
love. From updated interiors to refreshed menus and digital ordering systems,
the reimagined All India Cafe is a fusion of tradition and innovation.
We caught up with co-owner Pawandeep Kaur Khinda, who shared insights
into her entrepreneurial journey. She spoke about honoring her father's vision
while adapting to changing customer expectations in LA’s dynamic food scene.
“We’re not just serving food—we’re telling stories, continuing a legacy, and
connecting with a new generation of diners,” Pawan shared.
Adobe praised the cafe’s approach to blending heritage with modern
branding, calling it a “great example of cultural authenticity in contemporary
design.”
With their finger on the pulse of LA’s diverse market, the Khinda
siblings are expanding the brand’s reach while staying rooted in Indian culinary tradition. Whether it’s
a comforting bowl of dal or a reimagined thali experience, All India Cafe
continues to be a destination where India truly meets LA.
Stay tuned as New India Abroad follows the journey of All India Cafe and
other Indian-American entrepreneurs transforming the business landscape with
passion, heritage, and innovation.
