Tragedy struck on June 12 when an Air India plane crash occurred minutes after takeoff from Ahmedabad, en route to London’s Gatwick Airport. The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner carried 242 people, including 217 adults and 11 children. Among them were 169 Indian nationals, 43 Britons, 7 Portuguese, and 1 Canadian.
