Ahmedabad-London Air India Plane Crash: Tragedy Near Takeoff

 

In a tragic turn of events, an Ahmedabad-London Air India plane crash has shaken the aviation world. The Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, carrying 242 passengers—including 217 adults and 11 children—crashed minutes after departing from Ahmedabad on June 12. Bound for London’s Gatwick Airport, the flight issued a "Mayday" signal shortly after takeoff before losing all contact with air traffic control. Eyewitness footage showed the aircraft disappearing behind residential buildings, followed by a fiery explosion and thick black smoke. The Ahmedabad-London Air India plane crash occurred near a civilian area, raising further safety concerns. Among the passengers were 169 Indian nationals, 43 Britons, seven Portuguese citizens, and one Canadian. Emergency services swiftly responded, evacuating injured individuals on stretchers and battling fires caused by the crash debris.
